Clare Spottiswoode
Chairman of Gas Strategies Group Limited and Senior Consultant of Gas Strategies Consulting, a Division of Gas Strategies Group Limited. Clare is an active participant in the energy arena, and has been involved in many international and UK projects. Clare combines specialist gas knowledge with a strong entrepreneurial background. She was the first gas regulator in the world to fully open all sectors of the gas market to competition. She remains particularly interested in the workings of competitive markets. Clare is Chairman of Busy Bees, Deputy Chairman of British Energy and non-executive director of Tullow Oil and Advanced Technology (UK). |

James Ball
Founder of Alphatania, a Division of Gas Strategies Group Limited and President and Chief Mentor of Gas Strategies Group Limited. James has an exceptional understanding of the international gas business, with particular interest in the West European gas markets, power market strategies for gas and international LNG markets. An extensive network of contacts in the international gas scene enables him to keep abreast of developments and cross-check views in a variety of situations.

His experience in the past fifteen years has been particularly focused on the Electricity sector (Distribution, Supply and Generation) and on Gas. Pat has become known for his thought leadership and strategic thinking in each element of the energy value-chain as it has experienced successive stages of competitive and shareholder value challenge in deregulation. Pat led the Energy Strategy and Energy Trading & Risk Management services of Deloitte Consulting in Europe from 1998 – 2004, and then spent a period providing independent consulting support to a number of major European utilities.

Chris Walters
Chris specialises in European gas market development, liberalisation and regulation. He is Director of Gas Strategies Consulting, a Division of Gas Strategies Group Limited and involved in all aspects of management and business development activities. Some of his recent consulting assignments include participation in a major competitor analysis study which looked at the response of 25 European companies to new competitive threats and opportunities in the liberalising European market and contribution toward a number of European market studies which included reviews of the progress of competition in key European markets and analysis of the effects of existing and proposed regulations at national and European level. |
