European Pricing Services

Gas Strategies’ long-running pricing services are unique in the industry. Our border price series are not simply based on “reported” prices, but are calculated from historical and projected oil and oil product price drivers, using models which mimic long-term contract price formulae. The accuracy of our models is tested and calibrated in the market, and we continually monitor the development of long-term contract prices through reliable public and industry sources. Projected international and end user oil product prices similarly are calculated using refinery economics and market models. We also, of course, monitor and show contrasts to, market traded prices and futures forward curves.

Because they are models and not simply tables, there is a built-in degree of interactivity.

Our pricing services provide market analysis and historical and projected crude oil, oil product, natural gas and LNG prices, at end user and wholesale/border level for five different oil price scenarios, currently covering ten major European markets. The services are available online at www.Gas-Matters.com, with quarterly reports which are also available in bound paper format, giving more in-depth analysis on European end user prices, border gas and LNG prices

Supply and Demand Service

Our supply and demand service covers the whole of what we call “EGTA” (the European Gas Trading Area, comprising the EU25 plus Switzerland, Bulgaria and Romania). Available online via our dedicated website: www.Gas-Matters.com, the European Supply and Demand Service provides our clients with access to our unrivalled database of supply and demand information and infrastructure maps. For each country, long-term supply contract volumes by supplier, historical analysis of natural gas demand, and projected demand for high, low and mid case demand scenarios are available, along with infrastructure maps showing main pipeline/LNG capacities and contracted flow.

Global LNG Database

A simple, basic, one-stop-shop for up-to-date information on all existing and planned LNG plants, regasification terminals and sales contracts; this service provides a wealth of information and data about the global LNG business. Uniquely, in addition to providing a full list of LNG carriers both in the existing fleet and on order, the Global LNG Database includes a fully functional shipping calculator which allows the user to calculate freight costs depending on vessel and journey parameters. It is ideal for companies who find updating this basic data a burden, or who wish to cross-check their own internal databases.
